Christmas 1988 Card

1988. My mother the schoolteacher likes to relate the story of showing this card to a young lad who, consumed with horror, was absolutely certain that Santa Claus was indeed dead...and Christmas would not be coming ever again.

This was the first card I made on my return to Vermont after spending time in New York and pretty much starts the theme of "the practical Santa." The idea was if Santa were a real person bound by the laws of physics and subject to the problems of ordinary folk, what kind of mishaps would be likely to befall the guy.
